Resizing And securing /var/tmp On cPanel


By default on cpanel server /var/tmp is only 512MB which in most cases is too small. Increase and secure it so you don't need to worry about it anymore.

 
nano /scripts/securetmp


Change:

my $tmpdsksize     = 512000;    # Must be larger than 250000


to

my $tmpdsksize     = 2097152;    # Must be larger than 250000



umount -l /tmp
umount -l /var/tmp
rm -fv /usr/tmpDSK
/scripts/securetmp


All done.
